It’s an incredibly strong magnet, it does a fantastic job of keeping everything in place. I actually have two of them, one for a USB-C cable and one Lightning, they both pull through the holder with no resistance and are held in place when they’re not in use.
A very useful product for the Orbitkey Desk Mat. That's why I bought the second one.
